Effective Remedies for Blackheads!

Black Heads are also known as an open comedone, blackheads are caused by excess oils. The clogged hair and the accumulated oil when exposed to air turns black . Most women find it embarrassing having black heads. It is sometimes the cause of a low self confidence, especially if you have an interview for work or you'll go out for a date. Worry no more! I got some simple tips which could help you get rid of  black heads.

1. Clean your face regularly. Use mild facial wash / foam. I recommend Neutrogena Deep Clean Facial Cleanser. This is good for those who have oily skin. It is not an oil base product and non-comodogenic.

2. Scrub your face. Use honey and sugar, mix them together and gently scrub all over your face . Rinse it off with warm water and you’ll observe that your skin feels soft and smooth.

3. Facial Mask. We don’t want to spend much to have clear and smooth skin. Egg white is a good substitute for facial mask. Apply egg white all over your face until it dries up and rinse it off with water.

4. Never Squeeze. We always want to prevent infection, so avoid squeezing them.

*If the problem gets worse consult your dermatologist and ask for a medical advice.

Goodbye Dark Underarms!

I remember an old friend telling me, she would never wear sleeveless tank tops because of her dark underarms. It is a big concern to us women having dark underarms because it affects our self esteem and confidence.

Causes of dark underarms:
  • Shaving
  • Friction
  • Strong chemicals (ex. deodorants and hair removal creams)
  • Improper hygiene
Remedies For Dark Underarms:

1. Lemon.  Lemon is a natural bleach, it helps lighten the skin.
Rub a piece of lemon on your dark underarms everyday and see the change after 2 weeks.

2. Hygiene.  Wash your underarms regularly to remove dirt and dead cells.

3. Deodorant. Apply mild deodorants on your underarms. Try Dove ultimate ( go sleeveless, Pearl Finish ) deodorant, it really works, it gives you smooth underarms in a week. If you have limited budget you can use baking soda or alum on your underarms.

4.Waxing. Shaving can lead to dark underarms. Instead of shaving, waxing is highly recommended because it pulls hair from the tip as to shaving it makes your underarm hair thicker.

5. Clothes. Tight clothes can cause dark underarms because of friction. Use loose clothes.

6. Exfoliate. Exfoliate your underarms using St. Ives Apricot Scrub twice a week, it helps remove dead skin cells and impurities.

Bring out those fashionable sleeveless tank tops.Reveal your smoother and whiter underarms. Goodbye dark underarms!

Setting Goals for 2012!

If you want to achieve something in life, set goals. Your desire to aim something is not difficult to achieve if you set your goals  and focus on the things that you really want.

Your goals must be S.M.A.R.T

S-Specific
M-Measurable
A-Attainable
R-Relevant
T-Time Sensitive

1. Specific- Goals should be specific. Specific goals will motivate a person to take action.
General Goal: I want to lose weight.
Specific Goal: I want to lose 10 lbs.

2.Measurable-  You  must have a target and measure your progress. To know whether your goals are measurable or not ask the questions how much or how many. I want to spend quality time with my family is not measurable, I want to spend 5 hours a week to bond with my family is measurable.

3. Attainable- You must set goals that you can attain. I will be rich in 5 months is not attainable but setting goal to become rich in 10 years is attainable.

4. Relevant- Your goal must be important to you, it must fit your purpose in life. By the end of the year I want to become a millionaire and enjoy my money in luxury is not relevant. By the end of the year I want to become millionaire and create an income generating project is relevant.

5. Time Sensitive- You must have a time frame to achieve your goals. You'll end up failing without time elements on your goals. I am going to exercise is not a time sensitive goal. I am going to exercise by 7:00 AM tommorow.

If you follow the SMART step in setting your goals, I'm sure it's easy for you to achieve success. Don't forget write your goals on your notebook or index card. Happy New Year!

White heads occur in different parts of the face around our eyes, on the cheeks and nose. Here are some home remedies to help you get rid of those white heads:

1. The best way to prevent whiteheads is to have a clean face always. Be sure to remove your make up before going to bed.  Wash your face using facial scrubs or mild facial wash  never use soap because it dries your skin.

2. Exfoliate. You can use oatmeal for exfoliation, it is use for centuries as natural astringent.

Ingredients:

  • 2 tablespoon oatmeal
  • 1 teaspoon bakimg soda
  • water
Combine oatmeal and baking soda, mix well, add water until paste forms. Apply to your face,  scrub gently, rinse it off and pat dry.

3. Steam. Steam your face once or twice a week, it is good because it opens up clog pores.

4.  Banana Moisturizer. You just need  1/2 banana and 1/2 tsp  honey, blend banana and honey together and apply on your face, wash your face with warm water and pat dry.

5. Hydrate. It is essential to keep your skin hydrated, drinking plenty of water will help remove toxins from your skin.

Tips:
